From our family to yours
Fromm Family Foods has a rich history of innovation in the pet food industry dating back to the early 1900s. In the 1930s, Fromm developed the first canine and feline distemper vaccines, and in 1949 pioneered the process of cooking meat and grain ingredients together to create the first dry kibble that is so popular today. This innovation continues today through the production of artisan pet foods.
Family owned and operated since 1904 –
Head chef, president and fourth generation family member Tom Nieman took over the reins from his grandfather in 1984. Tom is a chemical engineer, food adventurer, and was the direct understudy of the late Dr. Willard Roberts – commonly referred to as the father of modern day pet food.
Made in small batches –
We own and operate our own dry kibble plant and wet food cannery in Wisconsin where we rely on a time-tested approach to preparing pet food; an art that is scarce in today’s automated world.
